Today, I want to share with you the story of a special student who came to us from Russia, with no previous experience in paragliding, but with great motivation and a strong desire to learn.
Our beginner paragliding course, designed for those starting in this amazing sport, lasts for 5 intensive days and is intended to make each student feel comfortable and safe while flying. When Tigor arrived, he had no idea how to hold a wing or control the paraglider. His only wish was to fly and experience the sense of freedom that we all know when soaring through the skies.
The first day began with ground control at Los Giles, where we learned the basics of the equipment and the fundamental techniques for managing the paraglider on the ground. Although it seemed complicated at first, Tigor showed great willingness and focus. With each practice, his confidence grew, and this was noticeable in his daily progress. 💪
Over the following days, we advanced with both theoretical and practical learning, and little by little, Tigor began to assimilate what he had learned, showing an impressive ability to adapt to the wind and terrain conditions. Each day, his technique improved, and his excitement to take the next step grew. 🚀
Finally, the long-awaited first flight at Las Coloradas arrived, on the beautiful island of Gran Canaria. The day was perfect: clear skies, the right wind, and excitement in the air. The first time he took to the skies, his face said it all. The mix of nerves and excitement was so intense that, upon landing, Tigor couldn’t stop smiling. He had fulfilled his dream! 🌈💨
It is not only a pride to see how our students progress, but also to witness such special moments like this. With the 5-day course, the student not only learned the basics of paragliding but also experienced that unique feeling of freedom—something that can’t be described, only lived.
Thanks to his dedication, he has now taken the first step towards becoming a paraglider pilot. This is surely just the beginning of his journey, and we will be here to continue guiding him on each flight.
